montyrider
As the title says...but i was thinking today at my job at my new job which i've needed for a while so new parts very soon. YESLook i've already decided what to do with money i haven't got.I've nearly finished my a-levels but failing as i dont go to school if its nice weather and my friends are off work at home so i always ride if they're about, I always look at trials stuff on the net at skool!Does anyone have this addiction to the sport or am just one messed up mofo? Also what sacrafices have you made for this sport? And i mean big ones!Oh yeah i should put down a sacracfice i think, my LAST Girlfriend really wanted to go too our schools ball but i said i didn't have money but guess what i did and you can guess what it was spent on bike parts and yes she noticed the parts soon after and sussed me out! and yes she got rid of me Edited April 7, 2006 by montyrider
Ash-Kennard
im just like that too. the worst sacrifice is not going out with friends from school, i find i can't stop myself riding, and i feel uneasy missing a couple of days, even if the weather is shit or the bike is broken, im addicted if you will. Simpson
Interveiwing Jeremy ClarksonQuestion - "after watching 5th gear (or w.e.) you said that there was a car possible of snapping g strings from 50ft away and i cant for the sake of me think what car it is.. also do you think im unusual - i get more turned on by cars and spend more time with them than my gf is this normal?"Jeremy "ok cars are good yes but better than i fine woman.... no i think you should see someone about it"Basically bikes are good but you have to organise your time and get your priorties right and if she was fit then you made a bit mistake - a good f**k is better than a nice gapEDIT - dont get me wrong riding is still like E - you can sometimes do too much??? montyrider
a good f**k is better than a nice gapDamn you are so right might and yeah she was hot and i regret it. but i've a new one mehTrials is so addictive though. not just the riding but buying new 'bling bling' parts too. everyone can find something newer and better for their bike and spending money can show signs of addiction! But as long we enjoy ourselves f!*k it i say

aaron-i'anson
How can you do trials and not let it take over your life you either like it and do it a lot or don't and never do it simple. The sacrifices i had to make were, To not have girl friends no more as most say haha 15 year old riding a bike what a loser! Then again i would rather ride a bike then a girl, I could ride a bike for ages riding a girl i just get sore and red raw!

anzo
This topic is pathetic.People who say Trials is their life, for f**k sake, take a step back and look at your life. If you'd rather have a bike then a girl, you've got issues.
Clawz114
Good topic.People who say Trials is their life, for f**k sake, take a step back and look at your life. If you'd rather have a bike then a girl, you've got issues.Whys that? i am the same as all of that...Look i've already decided what to do with money i haven't got.I've nearly finished my a-levels but failing as i dont go to school if its nice weather and my friends are off work at home so i always ride if they're about, I always look at trials stuff on the net at skool!i don't even have a job because i would rather be riding i basically buy everything from my £20 a week EMA payment. In the end it is all just going to be personal opinions.Clawz
PaRtZ
yeah at one time i thought that. I thought that it was the only thing i was good at (well i say good....)But that was because i chose the wrong girl at the time, she hardly ever wanted to see me, so ofcourse i went out biking. Then when we split I was like "oh....now i have more time" and now i kinda want to just arse around with my mates. I do that riding trials sometimes; when we go for a ride, its not to ride as big as poss and scare the shit out of ourselves, its cos we jsut wanna get outside, have fun, and enjoy each others company (not in a gay way). In all honesty, ANYONE who takes any ONE thing too seriously needs a life. It goes for anything, Football, Tennis, Swimming, Computing, Mechanics. If all that person does is that one thing, through their entire day then they need a life Even just socialising all day and not doing anything is sad.I can't see how anybody can do just 1 thing, all day every day. Im getting bored of trials because I haven't done much else. I know I'll want to trials again soon, but in the meantime I just want to piss about
mat hudson
if i dont ride for a week, i'll go crazy. riding comes before pretty much everything else unfortunatley that includes jobs, working, etc.

CurtisRider
riding used to be pretty much everything to me, not just actually riding but having a laugh with all the other riders too, just bloody good fun. ive made it clear to any previous lasses ive been out with that i ride bikes, and so i cant spend all my free time with them-cos i wanna ride too, which they eventually got fed up withthat was back when i was at high school/sixth formnow im 19, its died down, riding is less important to me, bikes are still a huge part of my life, as i do bike repairs and make parts for people, but its not what it used to be, other things are more important like friends, family, work and stuff like thati can understand why people get a little to obsessed with biking, cos i was, and it does totally rock, but now i look back i wish i hadnt wasted so much time on them, missed out on so much else i guess if it makes you happy then ride as much as you can, just dont let it get in the way of things that really count-like getting an education, having friends, relationships blah blah blah
