krissis
Edited by Mod- Here is the original PostI have a Giant Team Trials frame the signature one, i currently running Jr-T's 130mm, I got told it might damage my head tube but i have been running it like this for about 4 months I've been doing 20ft dirt jumps 10ft drops and trials on it. Has anyone had any previous experience with this frame good or bad. Mod- The thread was closed due to Pete Wright's abusive posts, and the thread was just spiralling into a slagging match. If everyone sticks to the topic then just carry it on in here
Tony Harrison
Why do you want advice? You own the frame, you should know how it rides! If you like it, keep it, if you don't, get something else.My advice is... if you want to ride trials and get good at it, ditch the suspension forks and try something other than big drops. Trials Boy
If you've been doing 20 foot jumps and 10 foot drops and its survived...You should be able to work it out yourself...

Euro Braker
Not many people run jr.ts on a trials bike so you are the first really. Oh yer arn't they triple clamp forks because I wanted to run some on my jump bike but I was told the same, that it would damage the head tube and it cannot be heald under warranty because it is an unnessecary mod to the bike and not what the bike was designed to run with. My answer is to swap them for rigids and learn to do dirt jumps smoothly or get a double/single clamp fork around the same length so it doesnt void the warranty. nova666
Oh yer arn't they triple clamp forks because I wanted to run some on my jump bike but I was told the same, that it would damage the head tube and it cannot be heald under warranty because it is an unnessecary mod to the bike and not what the bike was designed to run with.It all depends on your frame really,I was running triples on my old Shooter for like 2 years and not a single problem,I dont think kriss will have a problem with his headtube snapping either,The main thing you need on a frame if your ganna run tripples is 2 welded plates on the 2 bars that meat up to the headtube like on the Giant and a a god geo too,The Giant is supposed to be a trials frame but because it has the 2 plates it will not snap the headtube unless your landing really hard and dont know how to land jumps and drops smoothly. My answer is to swap them for rigids and learn to do dirt jumps smoothly or get a double/single clamp fork around the same length so it doesnt void the warranty. If he were to put rigids on it would almost be a trials spec but if your saying but rigids on to jumps then you might aswell get a BMX.
