Ben Jones
Hi i'm abit stuck on this photoshop image that i'm working on, i'm trying to cut round the image so it just leaves me and the bike so eventually i can make it into one vague figure, like a siluet. Like this (but just a simple black)Problem is i'm too imcapable to do this on photoshop, i try and use the magnetic lasso but it just look crap .PhotoIf any of you have the time then could you try and cut round the figure Thanks alot and sorry for thisBen

Joe Aston
like this how i did that was when u have just the bike go into fliters and go to sketch i think then there should be one called stamp click that set it to all black (you coulours in the tabs have to be black and white) then all the area should be black then neaten it up with the rubber. To do the wheels i put a white circle (spell) on top of the all black one leaving a ring for the tyre then i just drew the spokes in with the straight line tool. hope this has helped if it is what you wanted to do. Get some pics up when you have done it.iv just seen the pic il get on it now. Edited April 6, 2006 by Onza Joe
CBProductions
Use the eraser tool and get down an dirty or match the colours and erase. Or use google and look for tutorials there are magazines out for photoshop as well
Dai the Socket
You want to make the contrast really high so you stand out lots. Select the bit you don't want and click delete on a transparent background, or. Right click > "select inverse" then copy + paste into new document. Should work. Illustrator does a much better job or silhouettes than Photoshop.

GlynnP
probs best if you get a better pic wit a more plain 1 colour background will make it alot easier to cut around. i am still waiting for a mate to give me 1 of my images for you its basically the same kind of position.cheers
Gavyn.
use the lasso or polyagonal lasso and cut out round your figure
cvtrial
If you have a bit more open background it's a bit easier to fix the pic.! (with ONE colour in the back instead of all those obstacles!)
