King C
I was brave enough the other day to try a grind on my rims but after only a couple of days riding they're already quite dead . I am using plazzies on the rear and koolstops on the front. Should I try harsher grinds? softer pads? or what? too make it last longer.King Edited April 4, 2006 by kcchan
JT!
What rim?If it's a koxx, viz, etc they're all made of a softer material so they won't last as long.
Joe_Da_Man
HelloIf you are having that problem you are probably not grinding deep/harsh enough. Try and tilt the grinder at more of an angle upwards, this way your grind should last a fare bit longer.Cheers joe

Ali C
you serious??echo rims are THE WORST rims I have ever had, one side was straight, the other was all over the place, this was when I was building it up too!my first one I killed after 3 rides, the second one wouldnt stay straight and the spokes would loosen every ride so I took it off.Alex dx32s get my vote as good rims
montyrider
I have an onza ronnie rim on the rear...and im using koxx browns  and the grind has lasted so far for about 2months with hardly any wear, i ground it using a really harsh grinding stone on a drill which gets it really rough but is harder to do! Mark W
Pity they're so narrow though. Was a whore to set up, which sucks seeing as they hold grinds uber well and they were strong as oxes. My Try-All's gotten it's shit together now though, give it a fresh grind every 4 weeks or so and my brake's always fine. My pads don't seem to wear any more either, which is nice, they just seem to freaking rule?
