I really would ring the police again. For f**k sake, they do this all the time. You ring up, they give you a 'Crime Ref. No'...oh great, that helps.

If they hung up on you, go to the Staffordshire Police website and report it, get the bastards investigated because they shouldn't do that in any situation.

Ring the police again and demand they do something about it, if they say they can't, question them why not. They're the police, its their duty to 'serve the community' not piss them off with some 'I can't be arsed' attitude.

Ring them, nag them until they want to take you do court for hassassment if need be. Its your bike, its their lack of authority that causes it...and if they put the slightest bit of effort it they could probably get it back for you.

I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, but don't sit around waiting for things to sort themselves out, ring the police and make sure you tell them you're not happy with their f**king Ref. No card and that if they don't help, then you'll take the law into your own hands...if they don't say anything then, Police Complaints Commission.

Don't be afraid to be abusive to coppers on the phone if they try and ignore you again, I've done it before just because they were'nt listening to me...it sure as hell gets their attension...just don't go overboard because then you're in the wrong.

Good luck.
