bikerdude2006fr
Hey guys, started to build up my levelboss frame when i was setting up the chain and rear wheel. I took the KMC kool off my ashton then it looked like a pretty good length on the koxx, so i started setting it up when i realised that it was just a bit too long, so i took the minimal amount off the chain and then tried putting it on, but it was too short...... Anybody know what i can do?CheersOh yeah its a Kmc kool chain, the bmx size one i think, and on my mod
the judge
Try a half-link
Luke Rainbird
And/or a tensioner for fine tuning - unless you have horizontal dropouts it's unlikely you'll be able to run a chain without one

bikerdude2006fr
Half link, have heard of these what are they and what do they do? and where do i get one from?
the judge
It's a link like this which is half the size of a normal link, it should help you to get the right length. Not too sure where the best place to get them is though. Edited April 3, 2006 by the judge

If your in France contact KOXX and ask for a chain as fitted to the XTP 20, that will solve the problem. If your in the UK PM me. Ben. Savage
Elaborate, how is an overpriced chain of exactly the same pitch going to solve the problem? The chain bikerdude is trying to use is actually longer than most for the same amount of pitches, all chains vary a little. The chain used on the XTP is 1/2 a link shorter than a "cool" for average mod number of links.I would not chance a 1/2 link.Ben.
