zoocrew
Hi everyone a while back i discovered how to make vp cages last ages. step 1: take a new set of echo vp cages or onza ones.step 2: remove all of the cages and plastic spacers.step 3: drill the plastic spacer so its 5 mill wide.step 4: take a m6 tap (5 mill thread tap) and screw it into the pedal body forming slightly bigger threads.step 5: do the same for all 4 holes on the pedal body.step 6: now assemble the pedal back together with 5 mill bolts and let your pedals have a very care free life. Jaffacakes
Or you just take the bolt's out and wack some Alderite, threadlock or super glue in there. Then put them back in .
Ash-Kennard
or just use them, break them, get some more. They are dirt cheap anyways.

Mark W
To make them 'stronger', you're better off just taking the inside cage out. You get more thread sitting inside the pedal body, the shit inner cage which doesn't give you grip but reduces your pressure on the outer cage (a bad thing) is out of the window, plus, 'cos of the way the outer cage kinks in a little more at the ends, it appears to make it a stiffer structure, and more knock resilient. All good.

Mark W
UCI? BIU? Doesn't change the fact they're wanky pedals
sexymike
UCI? BIU? Doesn't change the fact they're wanky pedals lolnice 1i think what 'zoocrew' put is actually a good idea, still, i prefer the whole v8 thing with custom bolts like in the Jim Cielencki ideaBolts from the inside uses the head to rip out, this is my best pedal (just become that thread) lol
street trials rider
best pedals ever IMO, the pins dont break, the wall does i've just engineered *bodged* a test plate on the undernear of mine, if it all goes well i'll make a cleaner one half the thickness but of a stronger material (soft alloy just dents too easy)just remember this is only a test subject (and yes this set is on my sk8park bike, but also got a set on trials bike)
robnewland
I have the onza vp pedals and I seriously dislike them for the fact that they have left big fat scars on my left shin . Apart from that they are very grippy pedals, unless you ride them with wet shoes - when I could not keep my feet on and subsequently my left slipped off and stabbed itself on the pedal.
