rocks370
hey all.i should get my new frame tomorow which has Magura 4-bolt mounts. my current frame only has v mounts.i was wondering if they will work/fit without buying the 4-bolt clamps :linkycos the bottom clamp on the original magura clamps have a toothed edge at the top for that ajustable rest thingy.i hope you know what i mean because it makes sense in my head lol
Luke Rainbird
If the frame is for 4-bolt maguras, then I'm afraid you're gonna need to run 4-bolt mounts/clamps/whatever.If you saw those echos and perhaps were trying to run your old ones to save a bit of cash, try looking in the For Sale/Wanted section, as there are often people with spares from whom you can pick them up.Mind you, for £15 it's not a huge problem really! planet x alan
2 bolt clamps will bodge onto 4 bolt mounts quite easilly put a washer behind the toothed edge and a large washer over the bottom hole (the one where it fixes to the 2 bolt mount on the frame)i have done this before when i got new forks with 4 bolt and did not have any clamps
