Car Mechanic Needed

Bluegrass

Recommended Posts

It seems both my brake lights arn't working, Ive had problems with them for a while. Bulbs seem to go within a matter of weeks. Ive had new foot brake switch (dont know what its called, switch under the foot brake that turns rear brake lights on...) not so long ago, so surely this couldn't have gone again?! Could it be re-wiring needed etc? Getting desperate as i NEED the car over the weekend urgently.

Pug 106 if it helps.

Thanks for any advice

i think you'll find that touching a halogen bulb with your fingers makes no difference to the life of the bulb, it merely creates a oilly patch on the bulb which lasts for a few minutes at the most when the bulb is in use.

Not what ive been told by several mechanics.

A bit of topic but if you decide you want metal blingy dust caps but dont want little f**kers stealing them and decide to spanner them up tight just remember to grease the thereds as they can corrode onto them!
