CurtisRider
im running a thompson post-they are worth every penny, silly light, amazingly strong and have a really low profile clamp so your seat doesnt stick up any higher than it needs to i like them so much that im running them on all my bikesas for seats, theres some pretty nice ti railed, carbon bodied racer seats out now, and they are pretty affordable! around the 30quid mark on ebay will get you a real nice seat!ive got one of these in black on my xc bikeand one of these on my trials bikeboth are fantastic, i really like the san marco one, its dead comfy probably the best seat, if you can afford it, is the selle slr, look wicked, and are top seats dont forget your seat clamp! ben_travis
I reccomend sdg i beam seat and post! they are really good! the seat weighs 120g! and doesnt have weak rails to bend.BUT,if u damage the beam or the post when u fall off, which can happen, then you have to buy a whole new seat/post whereas a standard post has replaceable parts, and the rails can be bent back....however.they are light
Tomm
Depends how much you want to spend really. I like the look of Flite SLRs, but I think they are a bit overkill, and they have a price to match. There's always the Leeson carbon thing that you can get. I think it's £68 or something and made of just Ti and carbon fibre (and some glue I imagine). Really uncomfortable (almost useless) as a seat, but looks the part because it's really low profile.I have no idea on weights though. I would probably get a flite unless there was loads of difference in weight, as it'll be ten times more comfortable if you actually want to use it.
