its actually through the crabon, the grey bit is the alu incert

I thought that's what I could see. But anyway that's probably not too good, the aluminium inside isn't very thick and that chip is towards the top of the bar where forces from dropping are going to be high. I wouldn't trust them for anything other than riding to and from places on (N)

EDIT: Just to add I'm running 28" pazzaz bars, no snappage

Dave's right, the 0nza & Pazzaz's are different. They'll be fine Dave, you should see the state of my Pazzaz bars lol. Had mine a bloody long time, and I bought them 2nd hand, they'll be find I would of thought.

I'm now facing the same dilemer after damaging my onza carbon bars. Damage don't look too bad but I'm still worried. Theres a scuff where the onza logo is. Although it doesn't look like it has gone past the laqure :ermm: this going to affect them much? what did you do in the end with yours replace them?

Also where the bike has been dropped numerous times the ends of the bars have a few chips and cracks in. i thought the fact that my grips had rubber ends on them would protect them. Apparently not  this going to effect the strenght too?
