SKANK!!!!

The person who has lost it has obvioulsly phoned their network to get their sim blocked to prevent pikeys using all their credit/ contract.

Try various other sims, they may work.

Is this one of your own sim cards or the sim card that came with the phone? If it comes up 'inactive sim' the sim is probobly not fine.....

It's probably actually nothing to do with the sim. The phone will be locked and un-used. The best thing to do would be to find out whose it is (if you can) and return it. Just for, you know, doing a good deed.
