Brian Bleech
Has anybody used the Gusset SlimJim pedals, because I need some new ones and they look right up my street! So if you have are they any good? If not them any other lightish, wide platform pedals that are cheap (not DMR V8) – odyessy Jim Cielencki ones maybe?Oh and what pads are good for a front magura on a smooth rim. I what it to have good lock, but decent modultaion too. Was thinking just kool stops, but not sure. and supercycles deal with warrenty claims for tensile stuff, don't they? Thanks
Mark W
In order:Grippy. Luke Bowen (lives here) got a pair, and they're grippy as hell. I can't really say any more 'bout the durability or anything 'cos he's only had them a week, but they felt really good. Bearings felt pretty good quality too. Also, ridiculously light...JimC pedals really, really didn't do it for me. I kept slipping the pedals just bunnyhopping, and my brother took a pair of bars to the ribs 'cos he had a go on my bike, dropped in and his feet slipped off. This is with a variety of shoes, too. Hudson's got mine now and he's bodged some beasty pins in and they're sort of OK, but there are pedals 100000000000x better out there (pretty much anything, even V8s, and I f**kin' hate them).I found Plaz CRMs were actually really good up front. Nice pads, and lasted for approx. forever. Supercycles do, yeah.

Trials Punk
I've used Jim C's on my tank BMX for a while. Used them on the wet up trails. Never bothered me. Whole reason for the minimal grip (as thats what it is) is because of Jims tech feet all over the place style. He didn't fancy being stuck to the bike. Just down to preference. Gussests are more grippy.
