Custom Alu Frames

well.... seeing as the akrigg frame will be well out of my reach price wise,i was wondering if anyone makes fairly cheap custom alu frames? failing that is this geo out there? 1030/1040mm wheelbase, +10 bb, 380mm stays, 73 degree headtube angle. please dont say ashton as im considering this and leeson

i've definately missed something there, what frame? who's he riding for now because he's still in the mongoose wagon...

someone please enlighten me...

In short : His Mongoose will be Ti and will retail at around £1000 , So Rumour has it anyway....

this is where mikebike welds his frames, they will do any frame geometry you wish but take into account that the frames are totally random. 3 mates ordered 3 identical frames from Bikepol and the difference between longest and shortest frame was about 4cm if I remember correctly.

Yeah, not the first time I've heard of that either. That Zoo/BT hybrid does look pretty tasty though, in a "strong as oxes" sorta way :P

Mark: frankly speaking Mielec are among the most durable frames we use. They are made of soft aluminium which normally results in the dropouts changing shape. In the past (don't know how it is now) you couldn't get the headset in because the head tube had an elliptic shape. Yet I think that fewer Mielec frames have cracked in Poland than Koxx/Echo/ZOO frames - and taking into account that there are about 3-4x more Mielec frames, this is a very good result.
