Helicoil Maggy 05

Is there anyway to helicoil the lever body because i threaded it, please let me know because my LBC say its not but im not convinced

The screw with which you tighten the lever to the bars - yes, just get a bigger screw and re-thread the exsisting thread.

The long screw with which you screw the lever to the "body" or whatever you call it - just get a longer screw and do it up with a nut, but make sure that the part of the screw which the lever pivots on doesn't have a thread.

Hope I made myself understood, my english is very poor in these matters

That^^^ or tap up to M6 and use a normal sized lever bolt, that's what I did..still going strong.

Thanks for your help guys, will try that with the bigger screw and the nut because right now im using electric tape to hold the level body onto the bars.

I hope your joking, have you seen the prices for one of them. just helicoil it, if it doesn't work at least you can say you tried.

I've threaded my lever before (the bit which hold it onto the bar) the screw magura provide only goes so far into the thread, so i found a longer screw and used that still works fine!
