Low Profile Vee Pads

Punkrider

Recommended Posts

I run vee brake on a 38 mm rim, with Fatty R forks. I have to run the vee really wide with my current pads, so i am after some pads that have a low profile.

I have made a little diagram to show what i mean:

Does anyone know of any pads like this?

Thanks

Would these work/ are they any good?

they will fit in the brake shoes, but weather or not there good is another question, i personally haven't tried them so i couldn't say! have you tried heatsink VEE's but with less material, proven braking force and good solid backings make them a worthy competitor :)(Y)

also available from

Does anyone know if these are any good, don't like ordering from wiggle, prefer CRC?

Thanks for all the replies

it says on the website they are the black compound pads which will be no better than your avid ones! but it does show the picture of the salmon compound - give them a ring. Basically all salmon compound pads are great :) and worth it.

spanish flies are pretty low profile, and work pretty well, using cartridge pads, like rim wranglers with the pin is a bit sketch, i found my pads worked there way out eventually :(

i did make these up ages ago, like mat suggested above-worked fecking well (rj red material glued in-yeah i know ive done it real shitly :$ )

sorry about the poor pic, lost my camera and had to use webcam :$
