Dr. Nick Riviera
phone and camera. maybe money depending on where i'm going.if i travel i take a bag full of whatever seems relevant at the time.iirc steve spurgeon takes shedloads of spares with him on rides ( look for the old topic ) it would rival an sas survival kit. Mark W
Usually just my phone, unless something's acting up on my bike in which case I'll take whatever I need (usually a cunting 8 mil...). I've got a little Specialized EMT tool, so that'll often come out, just 'cos it's dinky. If it's a longer ride, just stuff to tighten stuff mostly, so just allen keys, spanner, obligatory tubes and pump, etc. However, whenever I take - say - 2 tubes with me and someone says "Got a puncture repair kit too?" I used to just go "Nah, two tubes will be enough." Then, I went on my trip to Bristol, got a puncture in the car, put a fresh tube in and tore the valve off, then raped another tube, and then had to repair-kit my other tube. All the fun of the fair
Jaffacakes
I don't see how you can take so much stuff riding with you though . Even if I go on a big ride all I take is a spare innertube, some allen keys, money and a spanner for my and chain tugs. I've got a little Specialized EMT tool, so that'll often come out, just 'cos it's dinky. I have mine for about 3 years now and it's still not died or rounded off, It was a bit of a rip at ÂŁ20 though .
Mark W
Yeah, you got raped. I think mine had an RRP of about ÂŁ11.99, then take off 33% Ching ching, toolage for Marky. Unfortunately, in that time, I've also lost everything from my Cool-Tool except for the main spanner body, and 2 seperate Park Tools, probably around 18 chain tools (killed another one today), and God knows how many 5mm allen keys. Oh, and about 198 blocks of tar.
