munkee
Right not really overly stupidly bothered on how fast.. but i want faster than bloody dialup.. something i can play cs:source when im bored at home so the bandwidth limit.. preferably unlimited but then again im open to ideas. At the mo were on wanadoo anytime and my god.. it was painful trying to explain to my dad on the phone why the internet is so slow when hes loading up a site. So much so he was telling me he goes and makes some food then comes back and its still loading. .. so yea cheaper the better, but also functional. Not in need of like 100000mb connection though
Rob_P
It gets over looked a lot but im on Virign. We had dial up ages ago and when it came to decide I wanted to go Tiscalli, my dad was like no were sticking with virgin. ok then......So ordered it etc, started on 1.1mb then a while ago we got upgraded for free to 2.2mb, which is now instant. However my mates on tiscalli and it disconnects literally all the time! I'll be sending him something or vice virsa and it always gets cancelled cus his net disconnects. Some days it's once an hour if not more.My net is faster.....has not ONCE!!!!!!! disconnected since i've had it, my net is also set up through a LAN. 2 computers use the net at the same time fine ( My dad and I)Modem came free, plug it in set it up and we were away. Easy peasy Edited March 21, 2006 by Rob P

Tony Harrison
BT took 60 days to move my phone line and Broadband service to my new flat, 500 yards from the old one. The whole saga involved me making more than 20 phone calls and also them incorrectly dumping a £120 bill on me (their mistake) on Christmas Eve.Avoid. Krisboats
However my mates on tiscalli and it disconnects literally all the time! Easy peasy I have a feeling that this will be more than likely be because of a physical connection problem with your friends line, my cousin is the same with his wanadoo broadband... anybody opens and then closes the front door slightly too hard and he's been disconnected.I am with tiscali braodband and its great, with 8 days of us signing up we had the modem and within an hour of opening it both computers could use the internet, though not at the same time with it being the single modem. My connection speed is 2.2meg and its got a very fast download speed usually get around 150-200kb/s when downloading from tv.isg.si. We now have a netgear router and two computers use the connection, and its fine for me to be playing cs:s while my sister is on msn and browsing the net... there is a slight raise in my latency and ping but not a lot, my ping never exceeds 70. no lag either so thats alright.Never been disconnected when doing something either, though there is a clause for fair usage, but this only means don't go whacking file sharing programs on between 16:00 and 23:00 in the evening Playing counter strike and downloading the odd riding vid is fine, just leave downloading lost/scrubs/supernatural till after 11:00 or in the morning. £14.99 a month no hidden chargesnot bad at all. street trials rider
NTL, £35 a month for 10mb connection AND ITS ALL MINE!!!!!!!never had any problems with it, just register it 1st time when they wired the box into the house and that was it.and if I ever format my computer, set it all up as usual, plug the ethernet cable into computer and run network wizard, and bang, 30 seconds later i've got my tinternet back10mb = average download speeds of 1300kbps....... got TM video (300mb) in 3 mins, if that oh yeah, and the "limit" (they dont actually limit you, they just check up on what yoru downloading if your always exceeding it) is 70GB a month Edited March 22, 2006 by street trials rider

poopipe
www.nildram.netthey do pay as you go 2mbit broadband package for £16 a month. its got a 2.5gb limit and then you pay £2 for each 2gb over that. I like em a lot. There are no restrictions at all - you can have as many computers as you like plugged in (not like AOL).
