Infurnass
ok i have a 2006 python mod but i dont like the feel of it at all, but since i spent £1200 on it i dont have the money to swap to 26" just to try it, its either a do or dont situation.I've been learning front to back switches, front wheel gaps and trying my heart out on some knarly looking rails, i can do them but it never feels good.I would love to trade someone in an ideal situation but aint got my hopes up.any info or tips would be awesome. thanks guys Edited March 20, 2006 by Infurnass
Walleee
It's probobly more the bike than the class of bike that's the problem.

Also rail gaps normal are nicer on stocks.
Walleee
I was gonna suggest what paul did but didn't have the audacity to put it in such blatant terms.Monty's don't have a 900mm wheel base, the majority these days are closer to 1000/1010mm...Perhaps a longer bike would benefit him, but what did all the tall riders do before there were long and short bikes? They rode what they had and improved their technique.
CurtisRider
He thinks his python is to short good one at reccomending a 900wb frame.I really hope it was a joke..i wasnt joking, he needs to ride a monty, then he will realise how bloody nice they are, short bikes will always be better in the end, they feel so right i loved my old monty x alp, it was super short and everybody who rode it loved it if he finds his python too short, he doesnt have all that many more options really, cos its not like theres many others that are longer? anywho, just try some other bikes, you may find its just your current setup thats wrong, bar and stem choice make a huge difference to a bike, infact they can completely make/break a bike
Ali C
pythons are THE worst riding bike I have ever been on, so I would deffo reccomend swapping!Montys are shorter, but they are the only mods I actually like the ride of, they seem to fit a lot better.Alternatly, you can do the decent thing and get a 26" you wouldnt regret it! Ride some stocks, see if you like the feel of any. You may just be taking a very long time in getting used to the python.Dan
