roby James124
hi the basic idea is with great difficuitly. My way 1. Get an old cloth or rag etc 2. Put the cloth round the sprocket and turn very hard 3.If this does not work get two pieces of old wood (soft wood) and a clamp 4. Put the pieces of wood in the clap and the sprocket in between them and titen then turn the wheel and hope it undose. 5.If this still does not work cut it off with a hack saw being very careful of not cutting the thread on the hub. 6. If this does still not work give up lol Rob
DAB
All you need is a chain whip and some guff...Or and old chain and a vice..rap chain round cog, clamp the chain in the vice, and turn. don't forget the cog comes off anticlockwise!!don't saw it, as you might catch the threads and f#ck the hub
Walleee
Hmm. In my experiance none of the above will work.Gotta grind it off.
Krisboats
You don't even need a vice. You can get an old pice of chain and wrap it round your foot then stand on it, put the other end round the cog and get your mate to help you turn the wheel... just bear with the pain as the chain tightens around your foot. It should just eventually undo... they are tough though so don't give up.Try spraying wd-40 all round it first as well, it might soak into the gaps between the threads and help budge it a bit easier. shucksmith1
if you cant do any of the above to get if of. just as you are abou to try summit stupid like sawing it or grinding it just think, if i pop it down my local bike shop and ask them to sort it out they will have to f**k around with it and save you all the bother. plus if they f**k it up the looks like you will be getting some free replaicements.cheers matt
