The lemonade man
Hello, This morning I tried to set up my brake, just fiddling about with the TPA. So I got it about right and then pulled the lever and <click> I then tried to turn the TPA and it's jammed. I can just about get it round half way with a screwdriver but it doesn't seem to do much. Also, problem no. 2, one of the pads goes further and sooner than the other (sorry don't know how to describe it), I'm presuming this is something to do with the crossover cable as it works better on the side where the main cable goes into the caliper.Hope that all makes sense. Anyone had this problem before?
Swize
Could you of striped the TPA thread ?
The lemonade man
Not sure, I havent used it much. It just stopped turning when I pulled the lever and when I pulled it back to a certain point the lever stopped as if something was stopping it going further. walker
You've knackered the threads on the crappy plastic tpa, the force of your finger is enough to do it. When it happened to me i made a replacement.Take a lookhttp://83.170.72.216/~trials/forum/index.p...topic=62326&hl=-Andrew

dave85
(this lot assuming its an '05 mag) Try turning the TPA around, so its using threads that havent been mangled, or put a tap through it if you have one, its M6. Or last resort, fire me a PM and i'll sort you out with an alloy replacement.
