Very Pissed Off About Posting Messages!

I have recently tried to post a link to an E Bay Site I am selling my Adamant A2 on. I couldn't post it on the Sale Forum as my user name doesn't have permission or something like that. I then get a bitchy reply when I posted the link on the new members site! This is the only one I could. I find it pretty funny that I have been a member for over a year now, and I have sent message after message to upgrade me to the administrators, to which they've ignored, and then I'm the one being had a go at, because i try to think off my own back. I can read, but maybe it's time the administrators start rading there E Mails, and help their user's out! After all, we're the one's making their site successful!

You are obviously 100x more mature and intelligent then other New Members, so its best you understand;

• For Sale/Wanted/Swap threads are not allowed in New Members Chat

• Harassing Admins/Moderators via PM/Email/MSN WILL NOT get you validated any faster.

I see you've posted 7 posts, all of which are way more then validation worthy. However, the administrators and moderators are not on all times of the day, so i would suggest posting more then 7 posts to expect to be validated.

You must also understand how many people "think" they are worthy of validation, and therefor e-mail the administrators with the same request as yours, therefore one would assume the administrators and moderators simply ignore such e-mails.

I have no doubt you'll be validated soon, but try not to get aggravated by the system, its there for a reason, and once you've seen the people the system catches, you will understand.

if you dont like the way the forum is run, f**k off and find somewhere else to sell your shit!

Ben

Little harsh don't you think?

I know the rules and everything but posting about ebay is not as bad as just sticking random shit up for sale ?

But rules are rules we all have to follow them.

This E Mail is not aimed at anyone in particular, yet people are thinking that it is. I've spoken my mind. i have follwed the instructions in order to get validated, and I have posted regulary and adhered to all instructions layed out. Surely opinions are allowed to be expressed? This is not aimed at anyone in particular, I cannot stress this enough!

After all this, Im still not validated, it appears as though the only way i can get any response is to 1 thing wrong, and then everyone pays attention. Surely this is the wrong way to run things?

I can see where you are coming from, I know i have only posted 4 times but i knida gave up on the this place when i could see the people that have already been validated should never been in the first place.

I can see and beleve that you should have been validated long ago..........

You're saying you've been a member for over a year yet you haven't been validated, but your first post was when? December, '05. Since then, you've only done 8 posts, 3 of which were in a Rides post, 1 of which was a "for sale" thread, then the rest were here.

Personally, I never really look at "Rides going on at <somewhere I'm not>" threads, so speaking for myself I wouldn't have seen you, then seeing you posting a "FS/WTD2 thread wouldn't make me want to validate you. Equally, e-mailling people demanding to be validated isn't a great way to get it done. It pisses me off enough getting people adding me to MSN every day then going "y aint i valid8d yet", so I can't imagine how it must be for Tom and Danny (both of whom are still in the final years of their uni courses, and lead pretty busy lives, meaning they won't always be here checking New Member's posts). You haven't made this any easier for yourself.

Also, to the people saying "Some people who've been validated shouldn't have been" - I know I've made the mistake in the past (as well as some other mods) of validating someone after only seeing a few good posts, then when they hit the main forum they become complete tools. That's why people generally have to post quite a few times or over a decent period of time so we can make sure they're not here to mess people around. When we do it quickly and they turn out to be dicks we get crap from people, and when we give people time so we know for sure people are worth validating we get crap from people as well. Lose-lose situation?

EDIT: And to Dave, you've done 4 posts. 1 of which in here, and 1 of which was "It has all been done in kent, Folkstone, Maidstone, Sevenoaks etc." Read what I said above and hopefully you'll understand why you weren't instantly validated or anything.

lol...well then thats a joke...surely there should be a time limit on the validation thing....i mean ive never been warned so its not like a dickhead thats just going to call everyone twats e.t.c. :P

Whats the point in havin a validating system if you have a time limit. Users will just log on wait that time period and then post away, some causing trouble some not.

The fact is that the System works and so there's no need to change it whatsoever.

Even if you haven't been warned it doesn't prove that your an angel. People change when they have a mood and can become abusive. Just look at some of the topics in the members area, theres always a row and cussing going on sometimes.

Just remember to adhere to the rules and you'll be fine. Just takes time, especially with mods and admins being at uni and college and such. Deadlines galore so the last thing on their mind is validating new members. Just wait it out and you'll be validated in no time. (Y)

+ he types and strings sentances together like a 'tard. Nothing to do with time, you simply aren't putting any effort into any of your posts. You could be here to next year, or the year after, and still not be putting any effort into your posts.

Or, you could put effort in, be validated next week, continue putting effort in, and validated happily ever after.

Its a simple concept.
