joe_eyre
Hi there! Just wondered what everone else profered out of cable or hydrolic brake, like which would you trust more and which work better. depending on what pads are used. Out of all the range on pads avalable for magura brakes e.g. plaz, heatsink etc... Can you buy them for cable brakes.cheers joe Edited March 16, 2006 by joe_eyre

the judge
I like the feel of maguras, although I have never really tried a really good v-brake.In response to your other question they do make adaptors so that you can use magura pads in a v-brake.p.s. it's hydraulic (not hydrolic)

PaRtZ
cable for the win!!! v brakes rock Obviosuly you're being sarcastic The best set up:Hydraulic rim brake : Magura HS33 bled with water + antifreeze with pads that work well with a ground rimAs for pads, the top ones I would say are Plazzie CRM's, Heatsink blues and Koxx browns. I know for sure the CRM's And browns are beasty with a good harsh grind
mat hudson
Obviosuly you're being sarcastic haha you wish. you left out majic pads, those things are beasty

Endohopper
Gonna have to leap to the defence of cables here . A correctly set up V-Brake can offer massive stopping power with good modulation at a reasonable weight .
DAB
Who really gives a sh#t It's what ever you prefer, or how you ride..my votes hydro, rim or disc.. cables can (and do) brake or fail when used in harsh off road conditions + v-brakes rattle Ps: don't use water in maguras
CurtisRider
v-brakes rattle ultimates dont, and if kept in good condition other cheaper v brakes wont either (much anyway), its only cheap/worn/poorly maintained vs that rattle like feck
