hi there

i had an eno freewheel for a while and i had the same problem. what i found the main problem to be is the freewheel coming loose on the side. to sold the problem take a dot punch and a small hammer and tap the nut on the side of the freewheel until it becomes tight.

hope this helps (Y)

Are we talking about the freewheel completely skipping? Or just clicks that don't really hinder the performnce.

If it's full on skipping, see the link above.

If it's just making little clicks as you pedal, it's nothing to worry about. It's more likely to be your bottom braket. As when a freewheel is engaged, it's effectivly a fixed cog and there's no reaon it'd click. You'll probably find the noise will go away after a few days.

ive took mine to bits before cleaned it out with wd40 and tightend it up and it works sound now (Y) there abit tempramental i think the best soloution is not to get one in the first place (N) profile and just acs freewheels are much better and cheaper in the long run

acs freewheels are not good. they come undone, they wobble, they click and they feel like they're made of plastic. they also only have 36 eps

eno freewheels are very good. they don't come undone, they don't wobble, they feel like they're made of metal. they have 72 eps

If your eno isn't good you either aren't maintaining it properly or you've got a broken one that you should have replaced under warranty.

in answer to the original question

-check onzaboymarks official eno thread - i think its in the FAQ section of trials chat

All you probably need to do is give it a good flush out with GT85 or similar and then run it with a bit of lovely thin lube. The thick blue goo squeezes out of the bearings as it beds in and can cause your pawls to slip when they should be engaging. Mines been running for months without a hint of a funny noise after I last flushed it out
