Mooore!
This is just from memory but i think there should be a rubber o ring on the non drive side, maybe thats what should be filling that extra few mm? just an idea.

Mooore!
I think its just a waterproof/dustproof seal but if i were you i'd get onto whoever you bought the bb from and get them to send you a replacement o ring. Or nip down the local bikeshop & see if they can sort you out with anythin. At least if you have it in, you mind will be at rest and you can put all you concentration into riding instead of worryin whether th bb's gonna pack in. sUm
Yea I have a truvativ bb with the same measurement difference (73->68). As said above it should have come with a metal spacer and a rubber spacer (mine did).
JT!
I'v 2 truvative bb's and one came with a rubber o-ring and one didn't. The left side cub is shaped for a o ring, but why they don't come with one i don't get.Anyway, i'v seen people ride with their left hand side cub hanging out and they're perfectly fine. Just tighten it up and see how it goes.
