tom tom
hi,what is the most common seat post size if i wanted to use a small trials seat (lump of plastic )22mm / 25.4mm / 27.2mm?can i convert my king to single speed (like advertised on tarty new) and use snail cams / chain tensioners and use fun bolts (allen key bolts ) to have horizontal drop outs?if yes would the hub spacing be:135mm / 110mm?and what would the axel slot size be?MTB std / 10mm BMX / 14mm BMX?and finally when it says the bb shell width is 73 mm is normal size?cheerstom tom Edited March 12, 2006 by tom tom
Greetings
The Single Speed King hubs are 135mm spacing which is the standard MTB spacing. 110mm is BMX, and this would require a different axle and freehub body if you are running a Classic hub. I think that the funbolts wouldn't go through a snail tensioner because the thread is wider than the part of the bolt that rests in the dropout. The axle slot size is 10mm regardless it being MTB or BMX. 14mm is used in BMX frames for running pegs and to obtain maximum strength.can i convert my king to single speed (like advertised on tarty new) and use snail cams / chain tensioners and use fun bolts (allen key bolts ) to have horizontal drop outs?but of course all you need is a heavy duty axle
