I’ve just bought some 06’ magura HS33’s and im running koxx red’s and CRM pads. I find that the pads move backwards and forwards when breaking as if the pad backings are slightly too small. I did not get this problem with my older maguras when using the same pads. Has anyone else had this problem and has anyone found a solution to solve it?

it is quite normal to have a small amount of movement in the pad, an old set of pads i had on the front it used to feel like my headset was loose if you held the brake on and rocked the front end

doesn't do it now bu obvously different between different pads

Thanks for the replies guys. Just to clear up the 06’ magura thing, it says magura HS33 06’ on the manual so I presumed that was what they were, I don’t think they are any different to the 05’ versions. The pads weren’t rubbing on the rim or anything it was just play in the pads. I solved the problem by smearing a thin layer of araldite on the pad backing to reduce the play. It feels much more solid now and there is no longer any play. Cheers for your help guys.

i'd just like to add a comment about the 05 / 06 thing

i got a new hs33 last week and it says 06 on the manual, they are no different to the 05's granted, but if thats what it says they are, then thats what you write down!!

and since when did it matter???

"i think he means 05's"

shut up!!

(rant over)(bad morning)

cheers!

I havn't had this problem at all....i've got the 05' models and i've used Zoo! and plaz pads and nothing.

glad you've sorted it out mate

The only difference between the 05' and 06' is that the 06' ones coe with a maggy booster aswell as the evo2 jobby
