Trials Boy
HiI've had my Chain Tool for about a year now and still haven't got the hang of it So i wondered if you guys could help me as i'm stripping my bike down for my new frame tomorrow. This is my Chain Tool:It was just a cheap one i got off ebay for a fiver and i was wondering if i can put the pins back into the chain? I can't see how to do it, i was thinking its a bit stupid if its just for taking pins out. Will this chain tool put the pins back in? If not, how should i put the pins back in?Thanks for any help
JT!
You don't take the pins out of the chain, therefor chain tools arn't designed to put them back in. And they are near impossible to get back in. Edited March 8, 2006 by JT!

JT!
How do i get the chain out my frame then? You use your chain tool like you have done, but you don't take the pin right out.Point 'a' shows where the pin should be after you've de-linked the chain.
