Adrian
NO THE EVO 2 BRAKE U HALF WIT
poopipe
evo2 is the adaptor you use so you can run an hs33 on v-brake mounts . - they come in the box when you buy an 05 Hs33.the booster shaped thing that comes in the box is not a booster, it's for mounting the brake. It won't reduce flex because its made of springy metal and is only about 3mm thick - it sits under the brake mounts if you've fitted it according to the instructions so isn't going to do much boosting anyway.dont call him half wit you half wit Edited March 7, 2006 by poopipe
Walleee
You can't get evo2 brakes, evo2's are mounting methods for the 05 version's of HS33 brakes.Evo adapters are the first generation of these, and are the only one's i've used. It doesnt make much differance really as they both work on the same principle. Regardless, if you go with magura, you'll most likely be using a HS33 with some sort of evo mount unless you have a 4-bolt frame.Chances are you wont understand a word of this.Edit. The position of a booster be it above or below the caliper's, has little to do with how well it works. munch8987
sorry guys.....says on most of the sites that it is a booster though and jus checkd onit and it says evo2wats the deal with the half wit remark....theres no need...only tryin to help
shovel
the evo 2 refers to the extra booster bit that mounts on to the bosses first, kinda works like an extra booster(very thin though) but makes the brake a bit easier to set upso in answer to your question. get the hs33 and you'll get the evo2 for free

CurtisRider
must just have been something i was doing wrong then im guessing you used tap water.........1 of my old maggys seized eventually when using water, i expected it though
Krisboats
must just have been something i was doing wrong then Sure was, i've had water in mine for that long and theres nothing wrong inside, i don't even think yours will have rusted either seeing as magura's are made of aluminium not steel. Aluminium can't rust.Evo2 mounts are easier to set up but if your like me and have a 2 bolt mount frame and an averagely wide rim like a ronnie (again like me) then you won't be able to use the booster anyway as it doesn't let you set them up wide enough for the brake pads to not be permanantly touching the rim. Walleee
Rust won't happen in water alone it requires water and oxygen so chances are you had air in your system.
