thee-mike
hi i was just wondering which 1 would be better for my monty profile mini race hub or front eno freewheel as unsure which to buy as acs claws and monty freewheels dont last long thanks for help
CurtisRider
eno, they rock also im speaking from personal experience (unlike many people who just quote what they have heard ) the profiles are good, but they are double the price almost, and certainly not double the performance-infact enos have more engagement points, dont suffer from bearing problems, mean you can keep you old rear wheel.....and weigh less woop
mini
Hi, i run a profile. It is so powerful and reliable. My mate has an ENO Freewheel it is just as good. Hope i've help you mate! Thanks From Stuart Edited March 7, 2006 by mini
Jaffacakes
Profiles are awesome. Eno's are awesome. If you have money to burn, buy a profile. They have good solid loud engagements but only 48 (I think) and are easy to service.A Eno on the other hand is a good piece of kit. Like the proflie it is easy to service/clean out, it has good solid engagement (72) that barely ever skip (unlike most profiles if not bedded in properly). The Eno is 85 quid end of.The profile is 160 quid. plus a rim/spokes/build.So as has been said a couple of posts up profiles are double the price and you are bound to have more problems with it.If you can't build a wheel and have killed your rim, that's another £50 if not more.My Eno is spot on, it's the same with all the bikes with Eno's i've been on. Profiles are probably better, but cost a lot more. If you have a couple of hundred quid to spend get a profile. I probably would .
Ben Geary
Go for the eno, there just as good and alot cheaper.
poopipe
eno = 72 engagements in the freewheel , 72 engagements at the pedalsprofile = 48 engagements in the freehub , 72 engagements at the pedalsthis is because of the gear ratio you run on a mod (72-48 = 1.5-1 = 18-12 )eno £85profile £170 plus wheelbuild and fixed cogking bmx hub = £420 = forget it... psychologist
Personally i'd say that the eno is probably the best. The Proflie is good but not as good as the eno and as said above the eno is cheaper (Eno £80 from Tartybikes, Profile is £160). Id go for the Eno on value for money and you wont have to get a whole new wheel build

I probably would .profiles actually have 72 engagements because there on the rear i think if you were to run an eno ont back you would get 108 engagements the same as a chris king bmx personally i preffer profile i have tried both and preffer the profile plus profiles don't like to chomp on you're trousers.
