nmt_oli
Ive got an aztec on my hope M4 on the front of my trials bike- much stronger than the new hope rotors (the mono rotors seem very thin) and looks good too.
poopipe
On a vaguely rlated note . . . Are rotors pretty much standard?. Ive got a louise FR and I've just scored the disk pretty badly on a big concrete flowerpot, would I just be able to dump pretty much any old rotor in it - assuming it's the right size ? scott-mad
yeh pretty much. id go for some sort of wavey design though they seem a hell of a lot better
tank_rider
i've got a 203mm a2z disc similar to the one in the picture (except with more spikes and holes in them), it works really well, although to be honest should do as its fricking huge!!. Whiteboy
Is there any differnece in performance whys beetween the 12z versions? which will be most effective? also what are the a2z disk pads like? will be on a avid mechanical 203.......cheerswhiteboy xx
tank_rider
i think the designs generally differ in terms of cooling performance, with the thinner, holed versions being better at discipating heat resulting in less brake fade (something avid suffer with quite a lot). I've got the version 3 which seems to work very well and i've not had as many problems with brake fade compared to my old standard 160mm avid rotor. I haven't had any experiences with the a2z pads, i'm currently running ebc reds, which seems to be pretty damn similar to the standard avid pads in terms of performance.
