011001000110010101110010
Ah ok, in which case there isnt alot on the market. Possibly heatsink will be producing some to go along with the 24UK frame. But other than a set of pashley's or the ashtons your stuffed really. This is one of the reasons I got a disc on my 24 so I could run pretty much any 26" forks.
streetjibs
oh ok, yeah... i was thinking that there wasnt much of an option considering im on rim brakes. may have to put a disc on so i can use 26forks like u said. errrrrrr anyone know the length of the ashtons ... i think its 405mmm but dunno where they measure em too.thanks for your help 'derf' Edited March 5, 2006 by streetjibs
011001000110010101110010
I am pretty sure the Ashton forks are pretty much identical to fattys but with the adjustable brake positioning. Porters ones looked very very similar to my fatty's.

The Dude
as far as i know there arnt any 24" ridgid forks, apart from the rewelded pashleys or ashtons. If you ask clive Leeson to weld some 24" mounts onto another set of forks youve found, he might.could try the old idea of upside down maguras, no idea if it would work though. Dr. Nick Riviera
no he means running evo mounts upside down on 26" brake lugs as supposedly its the right spacing for 24" wheels
011001000110010101110010
That would probably work actually. Just need a 4 bolt booster and your away!

streetjibs
Does anyone know if the upside down evo moounts on 26inch forks works for 24 inch wheel????if it does thats my answer!thx
Waynio
they probably would geeza!!! you just might not have as much "movement" on the pistons as in getting them "Right" in close to the mounts as the mount would Foul the path of the piston, but if you have a wide ish rim on there you should be ok.you Bro Waynio.....................PS need to catch up with you soon geez, you need to get online thursday morning if you can and we'll catch up ont MSN job. Waynio
minter GEEZ!speak 2u soon.but yes deffo try the mounts upside down, i think it will work, il have a go with a set tomorrow in worl hehe. il just put a set on and see if it does, but id be like a good 80% sure it would work L8rz Geeza, you Bro Waynio....................... Will Arnold
they only need to be 1" lower on the forks, so dont fool yourself into thinking an upside doen magura is gunna work haha, that would make it about 4" lower, meaning an 18" wheel should suffice
011001000110010101110010
4" ?! No way... If you turn it upside down the raise it asmuch as possible on the adjustment it would be closer to 2 or 1 I think.
Waynio
THIS POST IS CRAP!!!! IGNORE IT i bet i could get sumot to work (i hope haha) il try it with a few different pairs of forks. i get what you mean though the mounts should be in the right place. its if the mounts are "inline" with a 24" rim as they are welded on.il go check now Waynio.......................... Waynio
just worked it out, tolerance are too close on a 26" fork like WILL ARNOLD has said nice1 dude.i looked @ a set of "Onza" 20" forks down stairs and cos there so "long" IF you had a set of heatsink 4 bolt adaptors WITH the V-Peg in the middle of the 2 bolts in stead of at the bottom, there is a VERY high possibility that that would work only prob there is the forks are slightly lower than 26" forks, but not by much.the 26" peg mount on the 26" forks are DEAD on in line with where a 24" rim is (well more or less) so the mounts would deffo need moving.OR instead of moving mounts you could put another set of V-peg mounts on the back of any steel fork, like pashleys OR if you dont like curvy forks use sumot like planet x knifens and cut an old set of V-pegs off a pair of forks and have them braized or welded onto back of the forks. maybe.if i get any other ideas il post em up, il try messing with a few different pairs of forks this aft, and look into it.Waynio..........................
