grantham
Right on my 20" the tyre seems to be rubbing on the frame. Its a maxxis creepy crawler, on an echo 48mm rim, in a gu frame. I cant seem to sort it. Any ideas? also does anyone else run this set up at all? are mod tyres available in smaller sizes :$
Walleee
You no what? Your not the first one to have problrems like this. Say that's your trye, is it rubbing on the red or the black and is it rubbing on both the seatstays and chain stays?
grantham
its rubbing on the chainstay, the black bit from your picture
Walleee
Maybe try sticking another link in your chain and running it further back in the dropout's if your not allready at the very back.Alternatively cut away all the rubber that rubs but that's time consuming and means you have no grip on the sides and is just stupid really if it's not absoutley nescessary. MrSuave
tried dishing your wheel a touch?
poopipe
If its only rubbing a teeny bit just let some air out of the tyre - if i run more than 20lbs mine rubs on my booster - thats a t-poo with a hog rim (47mm) & echo 4 bolt booster.moving the wheel back ought to sort it proper though - i've seen people run echo rims and creepy crawlers on gu mods so it must be doable
Jsy Ben
i have the problem also on my python ...i made do by adjust my wheel alittle off centre, towards the left using the chain tugs ...but when big kicks are required the wheel flexs abit and you feel an unawkard resistance on the right ...lower tyre pressure does help abit, but not much really...you play trial and error with different chains to see if you can get alittle bit more length so you can move it back those vital few mm's just an idea...fraid i dont think theres much you can do Edited March 3, 2006 by jersey rider
