oakley
im sorry but they aint really that good. and you cant even spell adamant, even when it say's it on his frame!joE!
adamtrials
That pic looks difficult to cut out well, black frame on dark background, try a photo with it against a contrasting background.Ive got my art exam next week But you would probably get marks for any photoshop work, no matterhow bad as its using a range of materials to develop work. You can do the detail drawing far better in about 2 seconds by using the "stamp" filter. Joel
Oakley - I am a beginner, My spelling isn't that good anyway and i couldn't see it cause the darkness thing was buggered on the comp which is also the reason for the top tube. But its ok Adamtrials - Thanks for the tips. Good luck with your exam Chimpanzyyy - I certainly will my man When i was doing the editing, the pictures where smaller so i though it was cleanly done but effidently not. Any more tips or ideas would be great.Joel

Rob_P
Shut up, comments like that aren't gonna get anyone anywhere. If anything it's gonna make him feel worse about his already worrying exam. Tip: When your cutting out, did you use the lasso tool yeh? obviously, but which one? Make sure (if you didn't) you use the pointed one, not the round one or the magnetic one! Another thing, if your marking out your selection and you've made a mistake, dont panic. Just complete it and later on go back and hold either the alt or shift key, then you can either re-select or deselect your mistake. Tip 2: Zoom right in when making your selection, from a distance it can look good but zoom in and you'll find it's all over the shop. So yes ok the cut out needs work but still, it's great to see some different colours and developing ideas. Thats what the examiners/teachers like to see, lots of development and inter weaving ideas. So maybe cross a few over, like make the B+W cut out, filled with blue or something? edit: o you've done that one Just anything you do stick in and you'll get marks for it Anyway good luck with the project and the exam, just ignore brainless idiots who say stuff like "it's rubbish" Rob Edited March 4, 2006 by Rob P
Mark W
I didn't take art at GCSE, and didn't do much of it at all from Years 7-9, yet I still got straight A's in all my work for A2, and 2 B's and a D at AS. Art really isn't that bad to pass, in terms of the exams, so don't worry too much about it

Dan Campbell
They arn't great but not bad either. What Rob P has said is all good stuff. It sounds like you're fairly new to photoshop so you will learn. Being accurate with things like cutting out is a big thing. Using "add to" and "remove from" with the lasso is extremely useful. Try and make transitions as seamless as possible using blending and smudging (not too much though or it will look shite and obvious). Try lots of techniques and look through lots of tutorials they all have something useful to add to your knowledge base. For most tutorials a quick google is what you want. This one got me started on car modding and i found some of it very useful.http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htmNot one of my best efforts but it was to hand.Dan Edited March 4, 2006 by dan_brisa
