Biff...
Them tryall boots with the red sole don't look as nice as the others but if the sole is better then that's all that matters.
manuel
Sorry but why oh why would anyone want them ? surely they are just very very ugly skate shoes ? ? ?and probs more expensive ? ? ?and just, well, WHY ? ? ?

PaRtZ
more than likely matI don't like them at all, but if they work well I guess thats all that matters.... If you worried about fashion in trials then fine, but the way I see it, surely performance outweighs aesthetics when it comes to trials? Rich Pearson
Sorry but why oh why would anyone want them ? surely they are just very very ugly skate shoes ? ? ?and probs more expensive ? ? ?and just, well, WHY ? ? ?For people like me (who have buggered ankles) pixie boots keep your foot nice and snug in the shoe, whereas when I tried riding the other day with skate shoes on, I managed to sprain my ankle three times in one day. They just move around on your foot too much. I also just prefer the feel, although for aesthetic value, skate shoes anyday. You look like a pro whore wearign pixie boots....Rich
Mark W
I used to feel a lot of movement in my skate shoes, but then I just "laced 'em tight" as Orchid put it, and they're pretty much fine, now. Were your's loose?
N.Wood
I posted this in the last topic there was about these ( ), but the sole is taken from the same mould as the 661 Dually/Launch shoe.661 are doing the sole in a super tacky version now too, may just be that sole Koxx have stuck on. Why did Koxx make the soles stiff?! If i wanted stiff soles i'd wear road shoes. Yay for pedal feel
Waynio
Why did Koxx make the soles stiff?! If i wanted stiff soles i'd wear road shoes. there not really that stiff, just sort of "stiff'er" when there new, like most shoes when they have been worn a few times the soles will become more flexible. like minehave Sorry but why oh why would anyone want them ? surely they are just very very ugly skate shoes ? ? ?and probs more expensive ? ? ?and just, well, WHY ? ? ?1) ankle support is much stiffer, therefore less chance of problems with ankle.2) maybe they are, but when was "Fashion" ever a problem??? 3)same price as most "pixie" style boots.4)..........cos they want trials riders to benefit from things that can be "prevented"obviosly you dont like them, some other people dont too, but for me the key is in question and answer 1, they stop your ankles rolling and folding. the support is really really good.Waynio........................the sole i do think is a "super tacky" style sole like someone else has said they deffo feel it
Simpson
nice shoes sometimes i dont think that they offer enough ankle support for some aspects of my riding

Luke Drewery
I once thought that try-all boots were over-priced tat, I made a topic discussing whether trials specific boots are better than skate shoes for trials, and they are. I bit the bullet and bought a pair of try-all boots last year in September I think, cant remember exactly. I ride every day unless it is raining/snowing/icy etc and the only signs of wear so far are a few small circles in the sole where the pedal pins have dug in, I say circles because they arent holes, they havent pierced the sole, just made grooves in it. The body of the shoe looks brand new, and they have had some serious stick. The stiffness and support makes me feel secure and Im scared to sidehop stuff in my skate shoes now because its so easy to roll your ankle, because they are soft and flexible. The try-all boots are also grippier which is confidence inspiring, and have lace covers to stop tangles occuring. The main advantage is the stiffness and support though, thats what is good about them. I will most likely be buying another pair after these have worn (I can see them lasting a long time )
danny B
when i had try-all shoes they didn't last me no where near the amount of time that my ribos lasted and my skate shoes that i had before the try-all lasted longer too (Globes) the try-all thing just means lots of money for sh** quality....nuff said but that is just my opinion so go ahead and argue away i am sure that you will Edited March 13, 2006 by danny B

Dai the Socket
Way to plug koxx? Are you sponsored by them? Edited March 13, 2006 by Nick Carter
Waynio
no he sells ribo's but the ankle support is a major thing for people like me (and maybe people like Karsonlevorat, who have had ankle problems and while they are on the mend and repair they need to be looked after) if you've had ankle problems and you need support no matter what any one says these shoes have offerd me THE most support (and iv tried enough pairs of shoes to accomodate saying that). i was going to use an ankle "support" inside normal try-all boots but with my ankle being weak i need the best support in the form of a shoe NOT in a support itself.Waynio...........................
