hey chappies. i'm getting a new tyre and i was pretty sure i just wanted a 2.3 minion but on tartybikes i saw a new tyre. its called the "hansventure" designed by hans rey and has a slow reeeeeeeeeeeezay sidewalls and tread, and the main tread is super tacky. i'm tempted by this tyre, has anyone used it or have anymore information on it?

cheers, mat.

i liked my minion, remember not to go for anything bigger than the 2.35-the curtis wont like it much

im kinda needing a new tyre now-so instead of startin a new thread-whats sort of thing would suit a 26er but for more street orientated riding? i have a front moto digger and love it, but i dont think itll like being at the back?

Got a Hansventure on myself, got nothing bad to say against it! Certainly as grippy as my Minions have been in the past, and its a little bit smaller so folds less.

The advantages come for people who like the tyre to roll fast, or do a lot of mileage on street - the harder centre takes care of this.

Other than that, its just like every other Maxxis Dual Ply tyre really, damn good!

I'd nominate the 2.35", 42a, High Roller UST tyre.

I'm running them F+R, and they're spot on, and only 850g too!

They've got decent sidewalls, so are fairly pinch resistant, much more so than the single plys, but not quite as thick as the dual plys, which I think are overkill!

Plus they have the added bonus of running tubeless very easily, which I think is perfect on the front, or on a narrower rim. Which I've had in since november, with absolutely no problems!

They're a little bit more expensive than most (£28 each from CRC), but I think the low weight, relatively decent sidewalls, and tubeless compatability is well worth it!
