hey i resently rode my friends stock bike and he was using Maxxis Hi Roller with the Slow Reezaay compound. I found these tyres alot grippier than my Maxxis creapy crawlers so i am basically looking for you opinions on wether the try all stiky tyres are better than creapy crawlers and are more like the Slow Reezaay compound?

Thanks Glynn Phillips

ive got try-alls..........................ye there pretty grippy, but they seem to grip too much and drag like a cu*t and dont last 2 mins......go to the creapy crawlers, they last ages and are grippy ta fek and dont drag as much as the try-alls, plus they're likie half the price.

cheers lewis

tryalls are supertacky compund (42a) just got a diferent tread pattern that wears a bit faster but also grips better too. i recon tryall front and maxxis rear. awesome combo!

Thats wat compound creapy crawlers are isnt it ? so they will be the same in grip almost aprt from the tred pattern

cheers

Thats what compound creapy crawlers are isnt it ? so they will be the same in grip almost apart from the tread pattern

cheers

ye, the grip levels are similar though. i run (on my stock) tryall front and a maxxis minion slow reezay rear. they seam to compliment each other really well. the grip is phenominal on wet rocks.

mark who i ride with, runs a tryall fron and a creepy crawler rear and he has no complaints. just seams a really good combination.

I have had some tryalls now since christmas day and i can say they are just as good as maxxis minions, maxxis high rollers yet the sidewalls become weak after a while, i will be getting maxxis next as they are a lot cheaper and for the money there better andthey will go with the coulor scheme of my bike better lol.

so yes ifyou have the money go for tryall but if not get maxxis you wont be disapointed either way.

I would like to run maxxis on the back(which i already do) and sticky on the front but i cant afford to replace the tyres that often so im stuck with my cc on the front which im happy with because you dont really use your front wheel so i'd only use it to save a tiny bit of weight.

i use elgato tyres (the ones with the red rim). they're a soft compound with a lot of grip and pretty good against snake bites. it all depends on your preference and whether or not your truely in to trials products. some riders go by make, others by the whether or not it looks cool. your best choice is grip with a large surface area.

Just stick with crappy crawlers you can't go wrong. They last about twice as long as Tryall tyres and are half the price.

Same compound? :shifty:

Nah, it's just tread pattern difference, although the sidewalls are slightly different. Either way, I'm pretty sure they're both "42a" or whatever the number is. All good stuff.

Got Try-All front, Maxxis rear. Maxxis's's's's's last me about a month to a month-and-a-half, so for that reason alone I stick with 'em, just 'cos it's easier to deal with £18 every month rather than £30? :P

If I was going for a comp, I'd probably get a fresh Try-All over a Creepy Crawler. For natural, Try-All all the way. Anything's gotta be better than Sir Foldsalot.
