To prepare this Plain Pancakes Recipe, first whisk 2 eggs thoroughly, and pour them into a bowl containing 4 and a half tablespoonfuls of flour. Beat the mixture until it is smooth and quite free from lumps, then add a pinch of salt and two-thirds of a pint of new milk. Let the batter stand in a cool place for an hour or two, then fry the pancakes according to the directions given above; half an ounce of dripping will be required for each pancake. Time, five minutes to fry one pancake.Sufficient for three or four persons.

That'll make shite loads though. I usually use 1 egg, and maybe 3 table spoons of flour. Beat the egg and pour it into the flour. Mix it up and then add milk slowly, stirring all the time, until it's thick enough. And then just fry it. Make sure the pan is hot and try to make the batter as thin (in the pan) as possible. But obviously I'm sure someone else will have a more precise method. Goooogle.

I need to go and buy some eggs. I hope they're not all out of stock :S

I've been planning this for weeks :P Just had my pizza for dinner to give me plenty of time for the production line of pancakes I'll be making before going out.

Toppings wise I have

Sugar

Maple Syrup

Strawberys

Squirty Anchor Cream

Mini Marshmallows

Lemon Juice

Just going to try out a few of them.

Why? Takes two minutes to knock up a mix, tut.

What is you fav topping though? Classic lemon and sugar or something weird? I love golden syrup.

Guy

For me treacle, lemon and sugar or strawberry jam are the only choices. I have just had a pile of pancakes, all with golden syrup on. Was very nice. :D
