Jaffacakes
To prepare this Plain Pancakes Recipe, first whisk 2 eggs thoroughly, and pour them into a bowl containing 4 and a half tablespoonfuls of flour. Beat the mixture until it is smooth and quite free from lumps, then add a pinch of salt and two-thirds of a pint of new milk. Let the batter stand in a cool place for an hour or two, then fry the pancakes according to the directions given above; half an ounce of dripping will be required for each pancake. Time, five minutes to fry one pancake.Sufficient for three or four persons.GooooooogleThere was no directions given above... Tomm
GooooooogleThere was no directions given above...That'll make shite loads though. I usually use 1 egg, and maybe 3 table spoons of flour. Beat the egg and pour it into the flour. Mix it up and then add milk slowly, stirring all the time, until it's thick enough. And then just fry it. Make sure the pan is hot and try to make the batter as thin (in the pan) as possible. But obviously I'm sure someone else will have a more precise method. Goooogle.I need to go and buy some eggs. I hope they're not all out of stock

ogre
I put a big dollop (nt used that word in a while) of jam/chocolate spread/lemon curd etc in the middle, then sugar around that and fold it, saving on washing up becasue you don't need a knife or fork
