hi,

i recently posted a topic about a rear rim 19" i have decided to go for a blue viz rim which i will be ordering soon BUT i was hoping for a rear tyre too as mine has not got much tred left. so i would rather get the rear tyre now so i can get the full effect of my back wheel when it is built up. but i am having a bit of a problem deciding which one to get i was thinking about a maxxis creepy crawler but i wanted to get your views i also have a monty on the front.

also could you give me some information on the above tyres:

past experiences?

if they are long lasting?

if they are grippy?

weight?

value for money?

any extra information will be appriceated (sp?) (Y)

thanks again fergie

It depends how much you ride to how long your tires last. All tires weigh about the same. In my experiences this is what the tires are like.

Monty tires fold and puncture and get holes in them and probably won't fit your frame but look cool and are gripy.

Try all tires die in a month or so but are amazingly gripy, look ugly and are a rip off.

Creepy crawlers last about 3 months never get ripped off your rim are stong look cool but weigh a little bit more than the rest.

Over all I find creepy crawlers are the best value for money tires out there (Y) .

.

past experiences?- Creepy crawler is good but when it is worn down the grip is really bad

if they are long lasting? Ish my creepy crawler has lasted about 6 months then it just got a weee bit crap

if they are grippy? Yes at first (creepy crawler)

weight? Not sure but they are light

value for money? Good but the grip on the tyre does'nt last too long...................... :ermm:
