I have a set of 15x7s that I have just finished re-furbing and now unfortunalty it looks like I have to flog them. I think they are either 25 or 35mm offset, and I think they came off either a mk2 golf or mk3 polo g40, and I know they are pretty rare, but I would really like to know more!here is a pic:how much u wanting for the splits! ive got a set of mint cond mini lites 13"x6 with tyers and abit of money ?danny
The Duck
on a cheaper note as coiloves are a long way off, polish and wax, which ones?Wax - ColliniteQuite pricey on the face of it, but lasts forever and after 2 coats of that stuff you can practically swim in it. the_soon_to_be
why are VW's so gay, there put together far to well.. fitting my epically chav sub in the saxo was piss easy, on the borat, hell no.. missions.got the rear coil overs fitted, wound right down, thinking the adjusters might just have to be ditched.. went to fit the fronts, after a quick phone call to Nick we had the go ahead, basically had the strut out and realised we had not got the spring compressors so phoned a mate and by the time he arrived it was dark.. gay.so rocking the most scene setting reverse rake you've ever seen.anyone in portsmouth area wann help fit the front at weekend for tea, biscuits and man love ha
Matthew_Gibson
and being put to gether well is a bad thing? lol! If the edjusters are anything like my loop, I'd keep 'em in there, after about 3 weeks of driving with out mine I had a leaking shock. NOT good. george_seamons
If you have the strut out already, why do you need compressors?Just buy a new top mount and bearing for each side, you'll probably beniefit in the long run, and they are cheap. When I did mine on the Toledo, I'm pretty sure they were under £20 for the whole lot.I would also be wary about taking out the adjuster. My car dropped ALOT more once they had settled, I was suprised. You may also find that you can't go down too far on the front, due to the ARB. On the Toledo it was fine, but on the A3, I could only go down about 50-60mm, before the driveshaft rubbed on the ARB You can get round this with a Whiteline ARB which goes under the driveshafts, in a similar layout to the R32/TT etc, but its costs £140+
CurtisRider
ARBs aside, isn't there also a problem with the 'tunnel' where the driveshaft is? There isnt enough clearance for loads of lows, so you have to get it cut out and a new higher section welded in?
