Revolver
Awesome! It looks loads better with the spoiler on, never take it off again Pictures like this make me want one all the more!Hmm, give me a month or two
Tom Booth
I dunno why, but I really can't get to like that mini. The wheels look to fat as they only just fill the wheel arches, an the front arch doesn't fit well, at all As a piece of engineering thou and as a engine conversion it's preety sweet

RobinJI
Try and fins a porshe 944 rear spoiler. theres LOADS to play with!!Thing is most spoilers like that are steel framed though, so if you cut any real amount off you end up exposing it, that's the problem with the scirocco one. I've actually made one out of a boot lip spoiler from a mk3 capri, which I still haven't fitted properly, but offering it up its still a bit big. I'm thinking plastic and fibreglass is the way to do it, then maybe get it flocked to give a nice finish. Oddly enough I think a widened Citroen AX boot spoiler Might work rather well with the legs cut down enough for the leading edge to be skimming the glass, and would give decent rear visibility. Tom_
Indeed it is cool, apart from the lame ass camber on the rear. Just looks like its snapped a drive shaft or somthing.

Pashley26
(can I just be pedantic and point out I'm 98% sure a 412 not 411...)412 because it's got square lights...I didn't want to correct myself in the hope nobody would notice. Also it's LE spec with the chrome light surrounds and a few other bits.... RobinJI
Need some help guys:Taken from another forum:Right, I'm in the middle of re-building a head for my scirocco, its a head off a late 1600 mk1 golf GTI, so mechanical lifter and recessed combustion chambers. I'm kinda stuck on the valve stem oil seals. Haynes helpfully just say "Pulling off the old seal in simple with pliers" My problem is, they clearly live in pixy land, because pliers wont touch them, all you can get in the pliers is the rubber part, which simply pulls away from the metal part. You can get a fairly good grip on the metal part, but not enough to pull them off, they really are stuck on there.Anyone got any suggestions? I've seen a few pictures of valve stem seal removal tools but can't seem to find one anywhere Any other tricks to it?

RobinJI
Haha, cheers, is that you on there? I've seen loads of pictures of that tool, but could never find any for sale, no where local has them or can order them, and the internet just comes up with euopean and american sites, despite having uk only turned on. Any idea if that ford one would work with the VW seals?
Jolfa
Nah, I've been banned on there so many times I have a new account every few weeks Breaks me, that forum is just full of people who have no idea what they're talking about!Could you not go to Machine Mart or something see what they've got? Or eBay? Dunno..

Gotta take any advice with a pinch of salt, was just hoping someone might have a link to some pliers for sale, as google brings up bugger all, and all the local motorfactors can't get shit. Found them on the sight that pictures from, but they're for fords, and they're £35, so I'm not sure I wanna risk them not fitting, infact, I'm not sure I wanna pay that even if they do fit, its just some bloody pliers with a curved bit on the end!
