Out of interest, why not get a golf? A caddy will offend you in the corners coming from a mini. haha.

I'm more looking at Caddys for the practicality of it being a pick up if I'm honest! Just recon it'd make such a good workhorse (obviously not lugging cement about) I also just love the Caddy look, Looking in an old copy of Golf+ there's a mk1 in there, with the 16v KR engine, recons it'll still return a healthy MPG crusing but will still chase down the best of the new breed of hot hatches. Seems a win win to me.

Might be going to look at a few over the comming week, I'm more intrested in sitting in one thou, 6 foot 4 isn't all it cracked up to be...

I was looking at caddy's a while ago, the thing that stopped me going for one in the end was just the lack of back seats. Its never gunna be a performance car, so I couldn't justify it as anything other than a daily, and 2 seats isn't enough for a daily if you ask me.

They do look immense though. Although unfortunately once lowered you cant really put any weight in them anyway, so the practicality falls a fair bit. And a caddy that isn't slammed is just plain unacceptable.

Lol my mate at college has a caddy, looks pretty good, despite being about 80% filler.

Hes half way through sorting it out I think, looks pretty nice, got an 8v GTI engine in it. Dunn ohow it goes though.

I might quite possibly have a mk.2 driver 1600 this time in two days :S REALLY need to shift my corsa.

Minds made up now, massive change of plan too...

AAz/GTD engine , Slammed, ATS Classics, awwww yeah.

(If I get my mits on a GTD then I'll intercool it, T3 turbo and boost valve for around 14-15 psi, should make for a fast little diesel, theres one on Caddy forum running the same engine at 150 bhp with 186ft/lbs!!)

Anyone know what the insurance would be like on an old shape polo van? Would it be roughly the same as the car? Or jsut stupid high as its a van?

Could just do insurance quotes but thought this might get a quicker anser and this threads dead nowadays! More VW.

The gf told me last night when she was little she wanted a black Golf GTI. I'll make her get one when she starts driving :P
