I was tryign to make the point that things were getting lardy. Thats why every mk golf, vw seem to be coming out with a new small hatch. golf> polo > lupo > fox

CurtisRider
just got my new MAF...f**k me! the cars amazingly different, i cant believe how great it feels, she runs smoother (was running MAFless for a few weeks, as well as having a dodgy MAF for a few months) and ALOT quicker, kicks me back in the seat beautifully, better than when i bought it weirdly, the seat garage gave me an entirely different looking MAF, but meh, it works bloody well, so i dont care is this a common problem? just i'm pretty sure my dads audi isn't running as quickly as my car and we have the same engine?thanks to everybody who gave up some time to help me

Haz
That could work. But that car, does not. They'd need to matt all of it.

RobinJI
Wheels, tyres and lowering = Very cool, the roofrack and bonnet are just a bit, 'erm.. what?'
Danny
I don't get what would posses you to do such a thing?Paint the bonnet, take off the roof rack, take off the fog light, take off the stickers, put the standard wheels back on, and it would look half decent. Oh no wait it would be std then.
nmt_oli
Its not rat look, but its got rat look styling. I personally quite like it, but then people know my opinions on that, since i was considering doing the same to a bonnet for my car!
Tom Booth
I never understand the 'rat' looks, Is the point to make your car look as bollocks as possible? Why spend however much on a car restoring it, then letting it rust on purpose?
Simon
Man, rat style cars can not be shiny, at all. If it is shiny, it needs to be cream or brown/leather colour.
MadManMike
Rat look works on MK1 / MK2.That is just stupid, like people said, if it was matt grey / black it would look better, but no - new cars should not be rat look.
Haz
I don't think it's the age, I think it's the shine, stickers, and roof bars, which stop it from working.I've seen a few ratted Mk4s which look great. All be it, without the rust bonnets.

br3n
no i think its the age...it works on cars where its possible that its happened naturaly, thats clearly someone realising they should have got an older model and thought they could pull it off on that.
