i remembered you bought an uprated turbo for your a3 off ebay? was it from a tt, kos4 or something?

i was just wondering if you could still get the 40mpg with that fitted?

if so that is bloody impressive !

is there much difference in the 1.8 and the 2.0 variants of the a3 too performance wise?

haha, I was going to say the same thing :P

my kraut wagon isnt as heavy as everyone seems to think, and with 240bhp and 260lbft it doesnt hand around on the straights either! I reckon its goint to e quite a weapon when I get it finished and onto the track!

I've been in Steves EG before Simon, and it was nice, but can yours really be that much different?

I got a ko3S from an 180bhp TT as kev said, and its incredible.

Since fitting it, the car is MILES faster than before, it really does scare me at times now, and I've not yet gone past 1/2 throttle at all because its not mapped!

I have a friend running 254bhp dyno proved with an almost identical setup to mine, and he regularly gets 40mpg on a motorway run. I'm hoping to get the same power, and more torque than him (due to a more refined setup)

onoly the new shape A3's come in 2.0. the 2.0 n/a is awful, dont go there. the 2.0T is 200bhp, and a lovely engine, but the cars are much heavier, so performance is similar, although in standard form, the 2.0T is obviously a tad quicker

Is that a challenge Diet? Who thinks we should actually organise a trials forum track day? its been mentioned so many times now, why not set a date? Say castle combe spring action day? its open to all cars.....

Or donnington in the new year? £99 open pit lane....

Caleb, what are you asking about the TT?

Definately mate.

I think the spring action day at combe as it gives everyone a bit of a chance to sort their cars out and the weather to dry up;)

When is donnington?

oh dont get me wrong, 106's are amazing to drive, and If i didnt have the mini I would look at a gti or S1 rallye as a track car! but if i had one as a dailly, I would soon loose my job, as I could never be sure I would actually make it to work 5 days a week!

Mines alright at the moment but it does like to spend some time on the axle stands :P

T-F track day sounds awesome. We can have an 8v, 16v, 24v, VTEC head to head. Settle this once and for all!

those things look AWESOME!!!!!!

is it a 150bhp standard? get that badboy remapped, and if its a ko3 turbo, you're looking at over 200bhp! in a polo!!!!!!

yep yep, same engine in as in the golf GTi isnt it!? not too sure, thought someone said that. Love it though
