SQuiT-man
Ok, so now I'm the one getting ipod trouble..I think this is all caused by me sometimes pulling the cable out betwen it and PC when it still says "do not disconnect", but I dunno.A few days ago, my mate went to watch some trials vids on my ipod and went to movies and they had all disappeared! So he told me, and that was the first of the problem that I had, but I thought I'd just sort it out when I had some free time later, and it didint really bother me too much.Tonight though, I was walking back from the gym, went to put on some music, and WTF, I had no music at all!! So now theres no music or videos. The weird thing is: IT STILL THINKS ITS FULL of music, e.g. if I plug it inot computer, it won't put music on it, because it still thinks its full. So I dunno what to do..Advice please?Scott
Bendee
umm i had the same kinda problem. i put some new movies into itunes and plugged it all in to put them on but when they went on all the rest went, so i had to re upload my vids and it all worked fine after.might be something you need to do but it would be a right bitch to do all the re uploading. Rob_P
Ok, so now I'm the one getting ipod trouble..I think this is all caused by me sometimes pulling the cable out betwen it and PC when it still says "do not disconnect", but I dunno.Theres your problem right there.I've done that twice now, once because a mate put a large magnet next to the mac screen at college and the colours went weird, so to get it back I restarted it, leaving my ipod plugged in. Then when it came back on the ipod wouldnt appear on the desktop, or in itunes but still it said do not disconnect. So I had to pull it out, doing so left me with 0 music on there, wiped about 12gb but funnily enough it left all like word documents etc on there.Second time was something else I cant remember, but it left all the music on there, names etc as usual but when it went to play it would just go to the next track, then the next and so on and never played any music. The only way is to import all your stuff back on im affraid. So when it says do not disconnect, never ever do so unless you HAVE to.Always eject from itunes O and go to my computer, and format it as well. That'll make it all fresh Edited February 27, 2006 by Rob P
Dan Clark
I dunno whether itunes has it, but ephpod has a feature that says "recover lost files" or something, this finds all the songs and videos you think you've lost and sorts everything else.I panicked like feck when it happened to me.
