haydon_peter
6. I enclose the entry fee of £10.00 – Members or £15.00 late entry on the day (Members only). How do we become members? There is no info about this...
tank_rider
Right, there are no details on the whole membership side of things in any of the topics or on the tartybikes site. I want to send my entry in tomorrow, but obviously don't want to do it only to find i need to send another cheque with my membership. Can we get some clarification (preferrably by info on the tartybikes site and not in a random thread on here) about exactly what is required both munitary wise and form filling in wise, as at present i can think of an analagy that describes the current state being compared to a certain event in a brewery. It's all got very close to the closing date for entries and the requirements are still up in the air!!Lets hope the actual trials is organised quite a bit better Andy

Is there a cost to become a member?Last year it was £10 membership, but this year only the cost to enter the trial has been confirmed and so far all we know is that membership is sorted out on the day of the trial.Last year it was cool to pay with cash on the day, this year we get charged extra to do so.I dont see how paying in advance is saving on paperwork, I would personally think its easier to only accept entries in advance then only give a rider their punch card once they have given you their money on the day. You now have to worry about who has paid in advance, who hasnt paid in advance as well as sorting out the membership.I know it has all changed but last year this was all made clear well in advance... tank_rider
It may well be a thankless job, however you need to get the basics sorted and communicated before anyone will turn up to any events!! It's all well and good saying you'll sort membership on the day, but i don't usually take my cheque book to a trial, or much/any cash. How difficult can it be to say how much membership is going to be? Also it's hardly fair to get people to sign up to something they have no idea how much the final cost will be!!Another thing that needs sorting ASAP is a decent set of directions, so people actually know where they are going!! AdamR28
The entry form has now been updated, and reads:6. I enclose the correct entry fee of £10. A further £5 charge will be required on the day to complete and pay for a YMSA insurance/membership form.Last year's secretary has not yet forwarded insurance/membership forms to Dave, so, they cannot be filled out yet! This is why they will need to be completed on the day.Directions and maps will follow of TartyBikes website later.Hope that clears a few issues up.ThanksAdam
