Your 10 Year Plan

Will be 30 by then, maybe have a wife and a kid. Hopefully finish univesity and have a go at a city planning or engineering course as well. Start up a business, someting to do with trade or go into banking, and in my free time travel arround the world (especially China, Japan, Hong-kong etc.) If I succeed I'd like to move back to London, but judging by the prices that is very unlikely

And as far as bikes go, I think I'll ditch trials in about 3 years and start riding XC as a form of recreation

Half way through, haven't done a single thing from that list lol. Done better things and accomplished more instead ^_^

Thanks for the bump, nice to look back.

I'll be 29.

I hope to be well established into the visual media industry, either TV or film but I've not specified which or roughly where I want to go, but I imagine I will draw upon where I want to go in the next couple of years.

I would like to imagine this job will be paying a decent wage, so I'll have a house with a missus, possibly married and about ready to have kids. I'd also like to have a nice motorbike in the garage and some kind of car.

I'd also want to be covered in tattoos by that point!

Very interesting to see what people put four years back. Can see that a couple of people I know of aren't heading toward what they originally planned, although I guess there's very few people that end up doing what they set out to.

In ten years I'll be 34. Ideally I'll be a human rights lawyer for a leading law firm or chartable organisation, although that all depends on whether I do well enough in the next yearish so that my degree is good enough to get me the masters course I need. Not all that bothered about what I own; so long as I'm comfortable (although I find that word a bit annoying) and have enough cash to get by, then screw it. One exception perhaps; owning a small flat would be good as suitable sanctuary from the world is essential every now and then.

I don't like the idea of a plan at all. Looking at Bongo/Greetings' posts, often the best things that happen are entirely unexpected. There have been various times over the last few years where I've literally stopped and asked myself, how did I come to be here, doing this, right now? How did it ever come to this? And it's a good thing.

I'll be 42, hopefully a forwards curve trader of gas, oil or power, probably in London, but and here's the but, the birth of my first child has dampened my drive for capitalism and made me realize that I like living in the country and it would be a nicer place for her to grow up. All bets are off then, 10 years ago I thought I'd still be working in photonics now - how different things have turned out.

I will be the ripe old age of 35!

Hopefully i will have moved to the Gold coast in Australia with my better half!

If im not still in a decent paid welding job i will hopefully have my own Volkswagen/ streetfighter custom shop. And would like a nice place slightly out of town with 10-20 aceres of land so i can have a MX track out the back and a mini trials/skate park and foam pit! That would be my dream/plan at least

Riding bikes for sure. Probably more mototrials. Taken my bike test. Ridden in at least one scottish six day trial. Be chilled. Not get to carried away with spending on my bikes. I used to have a five-year plan, but never a ten year plan. That lasted the whole a month before I realised it wasn't happening (which was a good thing, btw) as suddenly product designers were out of demand. That and I hate desks.

I thought about this question last night and I realised I don't have a plan for the next 10 days let alone 10 years. I've had numerous opportunities to settle down into a stable, and more financially secure, routine but in all honesty I'd get itchy feet and wanna change direction within a year. Again.

So for now I just take photos every day. Sometimes people pay me, sometimes it gets me in trouble with the police, but mostly it puts a great big smile on my face...

What do you hope to/recon you'll be doing in 10 years time?

I'll be 27, with a job in the oil industry and a marriable lady to keep me in check.

Other than that, who knows!

Go team...

AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't do it!!

The oil industry sucks ass!

You will learn to suck Satans cock without realizing you are doing it, trust me I have been sucking it for years, finally stopped.

On a more serious note I will be 46 and STILL riding.

Jake at the moment im not working as a welder i work for a ballistic body armour manufacturer. I do a bit of welding from time to time making jigs and such just to keep my eye in.

I plan to go to Australia on a trade visa as a welder. As i have found through various sources an average welder in a factory out there earns more than i would here doing a similar job.

So whats your plans bud?

Dude Welders are in big demand in Australia atm.

Strike while the iron is hot as your predecessors would have said.

To the dude that said more in the next ten years than the last 10, lol,

Basically somewhere along the lines of your previous post, the welding game is dead in this country well its not just just the welding game but just general way of life doesnt appeal to me over here, I am a multi coded welder worked all over the country on various pipelines but have recently come out of work. I like to work away for a few months doing longggg hours on shutdowns then come home and have a month off etc but its gettimg harder and harder and the government just seem to want more and more all the time. I would love to move to oz, work less hrs, ride more but still have a good standard of living if not better which somewhere like australia seems to have for me.

<img src="http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbdown.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="(N)" border="0" alt="thumbdown.gif" /> I'll be 29

I'd ideally like to still be riding trials, be working in a steady job bringing in at least £30k/year, car, house, and possibly even a kid. I'd want to be a young dad rather than an old one. My parents were parents by the time they were 20/21 with me, that's not something I could handle at the minute, but i'd like my first child before im 30 for sure. Preferably a boy who's mum would then be a fully fledged MILF, gotta have a nice arse and accept my flaws, wouldn't mind picking up a welsh girl cos their accents hot as.......

Hopefully she'd be an artist or in that sort of field to contrast with my occupation which will most likely be in Computer Aided Manufacture or PLC's of some sort. Ideally i'd be a self-employed CAM operator working on prototypes for new product's. I'd also love to be part of a product testing team, ripping stuff apart in a stress machine all day sound's like fun....

I'd like to have stopped smoking by that time too, infact i'd like to have stopped smoking by this time next year... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

well four years on and im still smoking, not with a girl(dont want to be), and havn't owned a bike in over a year, nevermind riding! Spend most of my time working in a wank call centre while I look for something else and have got back into sailing after a break of a few years....
