weebryan
I now run a mavic xc717 rim and looking to buy a wider rim about 39mm that is light. What hub and rim do you use/recommend?
Tom Booth
Disc? Non disc? If your running a disc i reccomend the onza hog drilled sidewall rim, looks nice, is light, and just good. But i have alos ran a mavic 321 on the front and that was a very nice rim, looked good, and stayed true well. For non disc, could try the non drilled hog? i ran a dm24 on the front and that was good Tom Edited February 25, 2006 by Tom Booth

mtbjosh
depending on how much you want to spend, get a pro2 on the front they are really light. stick with mavvic, i have never had any problems with them as im running mavvics on my jump bike aswell as my trials. or a front onza hog, better still get the drilled sidewalls` if you are on a disk, they look the shiznit toodles
shovel
i'm thinking of getting a new front wheel soon, the lightest ones i've seen are king classic at 113g, but the lightest i've seen is made by "tune" and only weighs 75g! the tune one has spinning flanges so once the wheels built it balances out to remove any uneven spots of tension too, how cool! both are pretty expensive though, £115 ish for the king and £100 for the tune. . . . . (both non-disc by the way)
