Zoo_Monkey
check this out, just finished it about 10 Min's ago new downtube guardrecipe - 1 sheet of chequer plate (enough to make 5 of these) = 7.99one hexagon grip rubber mat = 4.95cable ties = 1.49i think it looks sweet as, the hexagon rubber keeps the weight down and the chequer plating looks the nuts let me know what you think!- sol

ogre
I suppose it does look a bit out of place, on one hand you have a very original and unique peice of kit, sadly it's straped to a zoo frame... Nah onli kidin mate, them frames are the sex Edited February 24, 2006 by ogre
JT!
Cost exactly the same as an armadillo (or whatever they're called). Looks good though. Might be a bit on the heavy side but your sure not going to dent the frame.
Danny
Reminds me of waynios old old pashley. When the downtube snapped it was held together with zip ties and checkerplate for a few minutes.
Ben Geary
Looks good, looks a bit to beefy though.
Rob_P
S'alrite but a bit chunkers.Take it like a man and dent your frame the way it should be Thats what trials bikes are for, if it was a koxx, well maybe a different matter. Take it off
Krisboats
Did you at least file the zip tie holes smooth? Thats the only possible problem that i can see with it, if the holes are sharp then its likely that after a couple of jolts the metal plate may have cut through the zip ties and it will simply fall off. Its does look alright though... just maybe try to find a more substantial mounting solution.

Onza Kieron
Looks good and tough, bit of an overkill but if you like it, it does the job and you don't mind the weight then good for you
Pugson
Looks like it will do the trick, but it also looks an abortion.
